Deborah Lippmann Part 1: Some Enchanted Evening

I decided to showcase my five new Deborah Lippmann lacquers in a mini-series. I have three of their signature sequin glitter polishes, one creme and one shimmery. What I’ve decided to do is to space out the glitters with the creme and shimmer. The first I have is a pink glitter, Some Enchanted Evening.
When I first saw the Deborah Lippmann sequin glitters, my initial thoughts were that I don’t think I would really care to wear such chunky glitter. I thought they looked kind of strange and I could not imagine what they would look like on the nails. However, after more experience with different types of glitter, I finally found myself getting more drawn to the Deborah Lippman glitters. I ordered three of them at one go as a result!
Enough of the preamble. On to the polish!
Some Enchanted Evening comes in a clear base. There is a mix of regular glitter and larger hexagonal sequin glitter. The dominant colour is a sweet pink, but it also flashes silver and an occasional crimson.
I used three coats for these pictures. On the middle finger, I added a coat of Nubar Honeysuckle as a base colour to show the contrast (Nubar Honeysuckle stained my nail pink though). I kind of prefer Some Enchanted Evening on its own. I like the jelly look. Maybe it might also go better with a more pastel pink creme base than the bright pink of Honeysuckle.
I did not find the polish particularly hard to remove. Granted, I was swatching and did not have the polish on for very long. Still, just holding a remover-soaked cotton pad over the nail for a while was enough to get most of the polish sliding off. Of course, there will always be the stray glitter bits that like the skin and cuticles a little too much, but, overall, no major headache with removal.
One more photo of the glittery beauty.

The contrast does bring out the glitter more clearly, doesn't it? I'm not impressed with the staining by the Nubar though, as much as I love their nail polish. May need more layers of base coat.
