Ozotic 509

For a long time, I have come across many posts on different silver holographic lacquers but I was never particularly excited by them. I finally decided to get one from Ozotic – 509 – in my recent order. It’s ok, I guess, but nothing to hyperventilate about.

Ozotic 509 is a sheer linear holo polish. It is clearly silver in the bottle but less so on the nails because it is so sheer.

I used three coats for the photos, and I still had VNL. The finish was so smooth and shiny and I did not use a top coat. The linear holographic effect is very strong though.

All these photos were taken with indoor lighting and flash.

I’m ambivalent on this polish. I’m impressed by the strong holo effects but as it is sheer, it was not the silver I was expecting. I might try it over solid colours another time to see the effects. I’ll post on that if successful.
