Ozotic Mish Mash 533

Today I have for you the third Ozotic Mish Mash – 533. This is supposed to be the holographic version of Ozotic 506. Just looking at my photos, however, I am finding it extremely difficult to distinguish between 532 and 533.

Firstly, Ozotic 505 and 506 are very similar. However, as can be seen in my previous posts, both of these show flashes of different colours under different angles and light conditions. 505 clearly showed green while 506 clearly showed purple.

Unfortunately, both the green and the purple did not show up distinctly in my swatches of 532 and 533 respectively. Both seemed to just flash blue and pink. However, the violet that is supposed to be in 533 does make it look darker than 532.

Anyway, here are the bottle shots first.

As with the previous two Mish Mash lacquers, I swatched three coats of 533 over three bases: base coat; OPI Black Onyx; and Essie Playa del Platinum.

I thought I would just add in a photo of 532 for reference.

From the above two photos, I think it is clearer that 532 is leans towards green and 533 leans towards indigo. This also means 532 is a cooler tone than 533.

The next two are at slightly different angles.

Since 532 and 533 are so similar, I suppose most people would not need both. As for which to get, I would say just base it on whether you prefer a green or purple flash, or at least the chance of it showing.

In addition, whether your skin’s undertone is cool or warm should be a consideration too (e.g. if silver looks better than gold on you, your undertone is likely to be cool; if gold looks better, your undertone is likely to be warm).
