Canmake 49 Sparkle Orange and 19 Gold

Canmake is a Japanese drugstore cosmetics brand. The only Canmake product I’ve used before was their eyelash serum. After a couple of months, I stopped since I didn’t really notice much difference to my eyelashes. Plus I was getting lazy :p
That was before I turned nail polish junkie so I never looked at their range then. Recently, however, I decided to just take a look. The selection wasn’t large, with quite a few candy pinks. Already have enough of those. Still, I did pick up these two – 49 Sparkle Orange and 19 Gold.
The nail polish came in pretty little bottles. Other than the names of the brand and range (Colorful Nails) and the number, everything else on the label was in Japanese. I did find information in English on their website though, which is where I got the names from.
49 Sparkle Orange is a very sheer orange base with orange shimmer and fine silvery bits that I believe are the pearl particles referred to on their website. There is also a sprinkling of pink and yellow micro glitter in there. All that glitter makes it hard to capture accurately on camera though.
Application was normal, but because it is so sheer, it is meant more for layering. I used four thin coats in the picture below and it’s still sheer. Even if you just want a sheer coat of colour, I would not recommend wearing a colour like that on its own for it will just make your nails look yellowed.
Canmake 19 Gold has a sheer gold base with fine gold glitter and round, medium-size holographic glitter. It is less sheer than Sparkle Orange, but still probably better layered over a solid base. I think I used three coats for the photo below. The sparkles really drove my camera crazy and this was one of the better photos. I would say this is a rather neutral gold. It is not warm yellow gold. Neither is it a cool white gold.
I tried layering Gold over Sparkle Orange to see what it would be like. This is three coats of Sparkle Orange and one coat of Gold. It softens the orange and the additional glitter gave it more dimension. Of course, the camera went crazier at all that bling!
Here’s all three looks side-by-side.
Possible options for holiday nails, perhaps?

LittleMonsterx14: Yes. The orange in particular reminds me of boiled sweets.
