Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed over Leighton Denny Inside Scoop

How are you this May Day? If it’s a holiday for you too, I hope you get a good break. And I hope this will be a peaceful May Day for all!
Today is also the day a beautiful little girl I know celebrates her first birthday! I’m sure her mummy will not fail to remind her of how she went into labour with her on Labour Day!
The mani I want to show you today is Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed layered over Leighton Denny Inside Scoop.
Leighton Denny Inside Scoop is a pastel minty green creme. It’s one of those white-based pastel colours that is very hard to photograph accurately. It looks washed out no matter how I vary the lighting.
Also, the white base also means it’s tricky to apply. I think I did three coats before I was satisfied enough. I got a couple of bubbles as I was not patient enough between coats. And since I was going to layer over it, I just left it as it was.
I then added two coats of Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed over. If you don’t already know, Toxic Seaweed has a sheer green jelly base with lots of tiny green and gold glitter, and small gold flakes. Layering it over the pastel green produced a teal-leaning colour, very different from the bottle colour for sure.
Pardon the ring finger nubbin again. It was the result of a chip.
If you’ve layered Toxic Seaweed and got good effects, do share!

Looks great! Wouldn't have thought to layer something like TS over a lighter colour.
