Star Trinkets Fountains o’ Roses; Like Wildflowers; and ‘Round Midnight

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mummies out there!
I thought it would be apt to show you three of my babies today! They are from the two polish collections I just made available for sale.
The colours I’ve selected to show today are Fountains o’ Roses and Like Wildflowers from The Secret Garden collection, and ‘Round Midnight from the Blues in the Night collection.
Fountains o’ Roses has a rose red jelly base with gold shimmer. The glitter includes iridescent multi-coloured square and hex ones of different sizes; medium gold squares; and a scattering of larger brown hex.
It is not too tricky to apply. I just applied two coats normally, although you may want to deliberately place the brown hex.
I didn’t use a top coat for the photo. The finish is rough but not excessively gritty. I used flash for the photos.
The second baby I want to show you is Like Wildflowers. This was the firstborn of The Secret Garden collection, and inspired how the others turned out.
Like Wildflowers has a shimmery, pearly pink base. Yet, it is not frosty or streaky as such a finish can be. Of course the shimmer and glitter in it help prevent it from turning streaky. The glitter consists of small red and gold squares; and medium purple and lilac hex. When scattered together, they remind me of a field of wildflowers.
As with Fountains o’ Roses, I applied two coats normally. I didn’t find a need to dab the polish on as I sometimes need to with chunky glitter.
It does dry a tad rougher than Fountains o’ Roses. No top coat used for the photos, but it is not the type of dense glitter that is excessively top coat hungry.
And, next, I have ‘Round Midnight from the Blues in the Night collection. This poor baby does feel a little lost in the shadow of its louder siblings, Midnight Sun and Starlit Hour. I had created it precisely because I feel that not all handmix polish must be loud.
‘Round Midnight is a smoky indigo blue base with a subtle fuchsia shimmer. The latter is hard to capture on camera though it does lend it a purplish hue. It is also full of micro gold and silver glitter, a combo I don’t usually see in store-bought polish, which usually has one or the other.
I used three coats for the photos although two would suffice for a mani. I didn’t use a top coat. The photos are with flash.
