Today’s shade, Killa Red, made a comeback during last year’s Vintage Bring it Back, together with the three Tudor wives in yesterday’s post.

Killa Red is a blue-toned deep red. The finish is sort of a jelly creme. It has a smooth, shiny finish, with a bit of that squishy jelly effect.

With flash, the red looks too bright. The two photos below that were taken without flash are more colour accurate.

I used two coats and no top coat for the photos. You can see how smooth it is. It applied easily and beautifully.

Red polish is considered a sexy polish, and different tones of red convey different types of sexiness.

A bright crimson red, like China Glaze Hey Sailor, is the calendar girl red. It is a red that says ‘hot, fun, and flirty’.

A deep red like RBL Killa Red is about the sexiness of a serious, enigmatic woman you wouldn’t want to mess with.
