Blackheart Violet Tendencies and Beautiful Revenge

I have two vampy looks to show you today! Did I ever mentione I have an inner Goth? LOL

Anyway, while I was working on the second part of my piCture pOlish Swatch-a-thon, I realised that piCture pOlish Aphrodisiac and Vampire were perfect for wearing with my two Blackheart shades – Violet Tendencies and Beautiful Revenge.

The moment I saw photos of the Blackheart skull bottles, I knew I had to get some for myself. The bottles are just too cool, and some of the shades look really amazing! Anyway, I managed to get two bottles through a friend and, weird as it might seem to some, I’m in love with them, bottle and all!

On my right hand, I wore piCture pOlish Aphrodisiac on all but my ring finger. This is such a beautiful and intense shimmery purple. My Canon Powershot doesn’t play well with purples so I had to do colour adjustment for this photo to get it to look purple rather than blue. This is easily a one-coater but I did two out of habit.

I then applied two coats of Blackheart Violet Tendencies on my ring finger as an accent. This has a purple jellyish base full of glass fleck-like shimmer. In the bottle, the shimmer looks a little duochrome, with subtle shifts from purple to blue. On the nail, the shimmer was just blue though, but it is so sparkly! LOVE!

I didn’t do colour adjustment for the next two photos of just the accent nail as they didn’t turn out too blue.

On my right hand, I put on piCture pOlish Vampire on all but my ring finger. The name is perfect for this deep burgundy jelly. It is sheer, of course, and I needed four coats for this level of opacity.

I then put on two coats of Blackheart Beautiful Revenge on my ring finger. This has a blackened jelly base with red glitter in different sizes. Another love!

The Blackheart line of cosmetics is available exclusively on Hot Topic (I think it’s so cool that some of Abby Sciuto’s costumes come from there!). The polish is only US$5 each but they don’t ship those out of the US. That was why I needed a more roundabout way to get it, but that’s ok as I’m so happy I got them!
