#SGSwatchFest – Spring: KBShimmer Spring Training and Where My Peeps At; Darling Diva Good Luck Bear
We have our second round of #SGSwatchFest today! Again, this was an impromptu arrangement. I’m meeting some of my polish angels today and we decided to set a mani theme for our meet-up. Somebody suggested Spring colours, everyone else seemed agreeable to it, and I suggested expanding it to a #SGSwatchFest theme.
It’s a timely theme as many people have started receiving nail mail with Spring collections. For myself, I just received my orders of KBShimmer and Darling Diva Polish. Naturally, I wanted to wear as many as I could soon, so I finally decided on this skittles mani. I alternated KBShimmer Spring Training and Where My Peeps At on four nails, and painted Darling Diva Polish Good Luck Bear on my thumb.
I used about three coats of each polish, with a bit of additional dabbing here and there for the bigger glitters. I then added Cult Nails Wicked Fast top coat.
All the photos were taken in natural light oudoors, mostly under sunlight.

Birthday Mani: Lacquer Lust Pow Chica Wow Wow and Partying in My Birthday Suit
Hello, my lovelies! Today is 27 February and it’s this chica’s birthday!
For my birthday mani, I used two shades from Lacquer Lust that my sweet friend, Marisa of Polish Obsession, sent to me for my birthday! Her birthday is about a week after mine, and she’s been so sweet to send me surprise birthday pressies since I got to know her!
The first shade is Pow Chica Wow Wow, a polish I’d been planning to buy when Shoppe Eclecticco restocks it. I’d heard that it was a close dupe for the hard-to-find OPI DS Glamour, a denim blue holo. Marisa remembered that I’d mentioned the DS to her before (like over a year ago!) so she got me PCWW when she heard the same thing about it being a dupe! She’s really so thoughtful!
The second Lacquer Lust shade she sent me was Partying in My Birthday Suit because, well, it’s my birthday! This one is a very pretty and soft ivory crelly with medium and tiny holographic glitter. I’ve seen it layered over a white base but I loved it on its own since it’s such a pretty nude. I suppose that’s what the polish name is about! And it’s a work appropriate shade with a kick!
I applied two coats of Pow Chica Wow Wow on my middle and ring fingers over Nfu Oh Aqua Base. The polish applied smoothly. On my index and little fingers, I applied three thin-to-medium coats of Partying in My Birthday Suit. I didn’t manage to get many of the larger holo hex on my nails though, because I didn’t really fish for them. The formula is a little on the thick side but not difficult to apply. I added Cult Nails Wicked Fast top coat.
The first couple of photos were taken under my daylight lamp.

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope 2013 brings you lots of joy!
I didn’t do special year-end and new year posts this time. I have a couple of bigger new things to plan for in the new year and wasn’t in the right mindframe to plan for such posts. Still, I wanted to post something on the first day of the new year.
The mani I’m showing today was something I did a few weeks ago when I needed a happy mani to cheer myself up. It features a polish that I resisted getting for the longest time and which finally broke my resolve to abstain from handmade indie polish – Candeo Colors Jellybean. I paired it with another sweet polish – piCture pOlish Twinkle.

It’s time for Polish Days again! Well, I skipped November for two reasons: I was preparing for my vacation and I just did not have any inspiration for the Movember theme.
This month, however, I have no excuse nor the slightest inclination NOT to take part! After all, the theme for this festive month of December is “Bling”! Now, bling, I definitely can do! In fact, the issue I faced was trying to choose which idea to work on.
What I finally chose was a quilted look inspired by the quilt tutorial by The PolishAholic. My polish of choice was Ozotic Sugar with a glitter accent nail using Estessimo TINS The Neptune.

I have another two Pomegranate shades to share with you today. They are Midnight Satellite and Cardigan. Both are from the Pomegranate Fall 2012 collection.
I wore these two together not for comparison but because their colours go so well together!

I’m back from my vacation! I had meant to schedule another post last week but didn’t manage to get it done before I left for my holiday. Anyway, here it is, finally – my post on A-England Holy Grail.
This Holy Grail is a new formulation, and looks very different from the first version of Holy Grail, which has been discontinued. I didn’t do a comparison as Eugenia of Ommorphia Beauty Bar already did a fantastic job of that!
