Challenge Day 17: Glitter

Day 17: Glitter. I’m surprised that ‘Glitter’ would be a theme in this part of the Challenge, where it’s pretty much all nail art and techniques. Maybe it’s to give a breather? I have to say it certainly did.

That said, it’s still not easy, for, which glitter to use? I have so many untried glitters that I really didn’t know where to begin.

In the end, I picked Estessimo TINS The Special Invitation and one of my own creations, Star Trinkets Fountains o’ Roses.

piCture pOlish Dorothy, Orbit, and Tease

Other than seven new Collaboration Shades, piCture pOlish has also just launched four new shades for their regular collection. One of them, Warning, is not ready to be shipped yet, so I don’t have a swatch for you yet.

The other three shades are all under their “Mesh Shades” category. If you follow piCture pOlish on Facebook, you may have seen these three shades before as they had a naming competition for them. The chosen names are Dorothy, Orbit, and Tease.

Hot on the heels of my post on piCture pOlish Amethyst (by Star Trinkets), I present to you the two Collaboration Shades piCture pOlish did with bloggers. The shades are Kryptonite by More Nail Polish, and Mirage by Sara Hassan’s Blog.

I’m very, very excited about this post! Firstly, it’s my first post since I migrated The Subtle Shimmer over to self-hosted WordPress. I hope you like the new look as much as I do. You should be able to click on the images to view them in their full size. Today, 30 July, is piCture pOlish Blog Fest 2012! Strictly speaking, I’m not one of the bloggers participating officially in the Blog Fest as I’m a piCture pOlish Network Member (i.e. we are business associates). However, I’m not going to sit it out as I can’t wait to share with you Amethyst, my Collaboration Shade with piCture pOlish!
