Read on for the press release details of Company, a musical comedy by Stephen Sondheim, that will be staged in Singapore in Nov 2012. Singapore Boy, Hossan Leong, directs.

Theatre: The Hossan Leong Show (Episode 3)

My second sharing in the category ‘Of Songs and Stories’. This is another local production, except that, unlike Into the Woods, this is an entirely local script. In fact, it is so local that someone new to Singapore would have real difficulties understanding the many insider jokes.

As you can see from the title and picture, I am of course referring to The Hossan Leong Show. This is the third year that this show has been staged (hence Episode 3). I did not watch the first two, so I would not be able to provide any comparison. The materials are new definitely and include multiple references to many key recent social and political news and events in Singapore.

Into the Woods by Dream Academy (Singapore)

This is my first post on a recent musical I watched: Into the Woods. I’m reluctant to call it a review as what I would rather write on is a more informal sharing. There will be some element of review for sure, but that would not be my primary objective.
